This first video is called Learn Adobe InDesign in 9 Minutes! It explains the functions and how to use the basic tools on Adobe InDesign. First, they went over how to create a new file and adjust the size of the page, the margins, and the bleed. Next, they discussed how to make and switch layers, as well as the properties functions. Then they went over the selection and move tools and what they are used for. Lastly, the video explains how to use the text box tool and how to adjust the colors to shapes or writing on InDesign.

This next video is called InDesign for Beginners. It explains how to use Adobe InDesign to create a simple page layout. The video explains how to create a new file on InDesign and how to adjust the page size, margins, and bleed to whatever you want. Next, the video discussed how to add new pages and make layers. After that, the video talks about the properties tab and how to use all of the functions under that. For example, how to make your text wrap around an image. Next, the video went over how to use all of the tools on the left side of the screen. For example, how to use the rectangle tool to create a shape on your file, and how to fill it with any color. Lastly, the video teaches you how to save and package your file.

This last video is called Learn How to Use the Basic Tools in Adobe InDesign. It does not shoe you how to use every tool like the previous video, but it does shoe you how to use the tools that you will use the most. The video starts out with a new file already created, and discusses the grey arrow (or selection) tool. Next, the video talks about the text box tool, and how you can use it to file in your own writing on your file. After that, the video goes over how to use the pen tool in order to create any shape that you like. The video explains that the more you practice the easier using InDesign will be, and that a background in Photoshop or Illustrator is also helpful.

 Here is the original image: Here is the image of myself before editing: Final image: Artist statement: For my somewhere project I photoshopped myself into my favorite tv show, Bob's Burgers. I used Adobe Photoshop to insert the still frame from Bob's Burgers. I then hid the base layer before embedding the image of myself. Next, I used the quick selection tool to create a mask of myself. After that, I used the clone stamp tool to blend myself into the background. Lastly, I used the brush tool to put my tagbrush in the upper left hand corner.

Postcard

This is a postcard for Spain that I made on Adobe InDesign. I placed images of Spanish beaches, and used the Text Tool to add the phrase "Spanish Beaches". I used the selection tool to move around the images of the beaches and organize them on the front of the postcard. Next, I added another horizontal page and used the line tool to add the lines for writing. I also used the brush tool to add my tag brush, and added a wavy line around it. Lastly, I used the text tool to add the words "Spanish beaches" to the top of the page.  Business card sketches:

Calligram Project

     The sketch above is the inspiration that I used for my calligram.  Artist Statement      For my Calligram Project, I created a picture of my future self on her way to work. In the letter that I wrote to myself in twenty years, I talked a lot about my career and how I hope it is still important to me. I  worked really hard all through out high school in order to get into the University of Tampa, and I am working really hard now and double majoring in order to get my degree, so I really want all of this hard work to have payed off in twenty years. Because of this, my biggest hope for my future self is that I continued to work hard and I became successful.       I used Adobe Illustrator to outline a sketch that I drew of my future self. In the sketch, I am on my way to work and I am carrying a brief case. I then put the text from my letter over the outline that I created using the pen tool. I also put a background behind the image of me, and then filled that with the text from my let
