Photoshop Homework 2

    An image from the documentary that brought me close to my own emotions was the portrait that he took of Michelle Obama for the cover of Time Magazine for the "Meaning of Michelle" issue. The dark lighting in the back of the photo in contrast with the brightness of her face creates a serious and intense tone for the portrait. There is also a lot of focus on Michelle's eyes in the photo. It creates a very strong and confident tone for the image. The camera positioning also plays a large part in this portrait. The straight on angle that the photo was taken with only adds to the intense and powerful tone of the photograph. 

    



    A photo where I visually express connection to the world around me and another human being is this selfie that I took with my friend Rachel. Rachel and I are at Plant Hall on the University of Tampa Campus. You can see the connection that I feel for Rachel because of how close we are stood together, and because we are resting our faces against each other. We are also grinning very largely because we were laughing. Rachel and I are on our way to dinner with the rest of our friends so we were excited. 
    It is also raining outside in the photograph. You can tell this because of the wet marble floor in Plant Hall that is reflecting the columns. We are also wearing rain jackets in the photo, which is another indication that it was raining outside. I love going out in the rain, and you can tell this based on how happy I look in the picture. I look genuinely happy in the photo, because I am.

I used Adobe Photoshop to insert the still frame from Bob's Burgers. I then hid the base layer before embedding the image of myself. Next, I used the quick selection tool to create a mask of myself. Postcard

This is a postcard for Spain that I made on Adobe InDesign. I placed images of Spanish beaches, and used the Text Tool to add the phrase "Spanish Beaches". I used the selection tool to move around the images of the beaches and organize them on the front of the postcard. Next, I added another horizontal page and used the line tool to add the lines for writing. I also used the brush tool to add my tag brush, and added a wavy line around it. Lastly, I used the text tool to add the words "Spanish beaches" to the top of the page.  Business card sketches:

Calligram Project

     The sketch above is the inspiration that I used for my calligram.  Artist Statement      For my Calligram Project, I created a picture of my future self on her way to work. In the letter that I wrote to myself in twenty years, I talked a lot about my career and how I hope it is still important to me. I  worked really hard all through out high school in order to get into the University of Tampa, and I am working really hard now and double majoring in order to get my degree, so I really want all of this hard work to have payed off in twenty years. Because of this, my biggest hope for my future self is that I continued to work hard and I became successful.       I used Adobe Illustrator to outline a sketch that I drew of my future self.
