This video tutorial shows you everything that you need to know in order to start a new photoshop project. It shows you how to first create a new document, and how to title it. Next, the video explains how to import an image, which seams very simple. Next, the video explains the software interface in photoshop. The history tool will definitely be very useful because I am new to photoshop and will likely make a lot of mistakes. Lastly, the video went over the basic editing tools associated with photoshop. For example, the move and selection tools.

This video shows you how to use photoshop to cut out images. Firstly, they show you how to use the remove background tool. In order to use this, you have to select the image layer, and then select subject. After that, all you have to do is select remove background. Another method for doing this is the object selection tool. This tool is available in your tool bar. Draw a rectangle around your subject, and then the object selection tool will form an active selection around the subject.

This video discusses the ten tools that everyone should have an understanding of when beginning to use photoshop. These tools include the healing brush tool (shortcut is J). This tool gets rid of objects in your images and replaces them with background. Another tool this video discusses is the last tool, which you can use of you want to work on a very small selection. Another tool that was mentioned is the pen tool, which you use when you want to be very particular about your edits. The video also explains how to make, name, and use layers in photoshop.

I used Adobe Photoshop to insert the still frame from Bob's Burgers. I then hid the base layer before embedding the image of myself. Next, I used the quick selection tool to create a mask of myself. Postcard

This is a postcard for Spain that I made on Adobe InDesign. I placed images of Spanish beaches, and used the Text Tool to add the phrase "Spanish Beaches". I used the selection tool to move around the images of the beaches and organize them on the front of the postcard. Next, I added another horizontal page and used the line tool to add the lines for writing. I also used the brush tool to add my tag brush, and added a wavy line around it. Lastly, I used the text tool to add the words "Spanish beaches" to the top of the page.  Business card sketches:

Calligram Project

     The sketch above is the inspiration that I used for my calligram.  Artist Statement      For my Calligram Project, I created a picture of my future self on her way to work. In the letter that I wrote to myself in twenty years, I talked a lot about my career and how I hope it is still important to me. I  worked really hard all through out high school in order to get into the University of Tampa, and I am working really hard now and double majoring in order to get my degree, so I really want all of this hard work to have payed off in twenty years. Because of this, my biggest hope for my future self is that I continued to work hard and I became successful.       I used Adobe Illustrator to outline a sketch that I drew of my future self. In the sketch, I am on my way to work and I am carrying a brief case. I then put the text from my letter over the outline that I created using the pen tool.
